Enable remote device wiping or recovery to protect sensitive data

Let’s say you lose your company-given cellphone somewhere, but on that phone there’s delicate corporate information. Enabling remote wipe on your phone allows the IT department to erase the data. Here’s how to do it on an iPhone:

  1. The “Find My iPhone” feature must first be enabled
  2. On a separate device, sign into iCloud.com and select the iPhone icon
  3. Select “Devices”
  4. Choose “Remote Wipe” and then “Erase All Data”

Use Total Defense Mobile Security to enable remote wiping on Android mobile devices.
